Rest in the Freedom of God

Galatians 5

It was for this freedom that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed].

God wants us to rest in the freedom of God today. Yes, we celebrate the independence of our country. But let us not forget the Freedom that Christ has made for us to live under the umbrella of His grace and mercy to live out each new day as a day of freedom from our past and give us the opportunity to embrace our future. We don't have to stay in depression and bondage but can walk out a victorious life. Thank God that we have that liberty to serve Christ in the way we do in America due to the Independence of our Country as well.
